Your favorite necklace...now your new favorite bracelet

If you're like me, when you splurge on jewelry it's a necklace or a pair of earrings. For too long, bracelets have long been overlooked in my eyes.

But there's good news for all you necklace-a-holics like myself - necklaces can double as bracelets! (cue the yay!)

Obviously this won't work with our favorite statement necklaces, but for any linear necklace it will.
Pearls and beaded necklaces definitely work the best!!

But fret not; sparkly gem necklaces work too!

You'll just need to follow a few steps.

1. Choose your necklace (most difficult step, obv)
2. Wrap it around the lowest part of your wrist, where a loose bracelet would normally hang
3. Wrap it around your wrist tight. If you leave it too loose, step 4 won't work.
4. Move the desired bracelet piece over any strands or chains
5. Enjoy your new bracelet

No shame in re-purposing. Ever.

Forever Frugal,
xoxo

How to Arm Party...Hard!

So every fashionista knows that a great arm party really completes an ensemble.

How to create a perfect arm party:

-Pick your metal that goes with your outfit. Match your metal to your shoes/belt or any prominent buttons. Is it gold, silver, platinum, or rose gold? Don't clash metals!
-Pick your neutral (yes, Leopard is a neutral!) such as black, white, navy, or brown
-Pick your main color(s)...limit this to two or three.

You don't want to completely over-do it, so use smaller pieces for your accents, such as a simple pearl strand or a thin bangle.
Pick a focal piece. Only have one or two focal pieces to prevent crowding.

Most importantly: limit your party to one arm! Both arms might make you look like an Aztec emperor or a pirate that just raided a treasure chest.

Keep in mind that bangles slide! Try limit bangles and pick fitted bracelets. Don't be shy to push that bangle up on your forearm!

Stay Colorful!
